The Georgetown Fire Department has sent a Type 3 wildland fire engine, to the Hog Fire in Lassen County. The Georgetown crew, along with engines from Garden Valley, El Dorado Hills, Diamond Springs and an engine out of Amador County, provided structure protection, mopped up hot spots and provided safety and protection to others working the fire.
The Hog Fire was located 10 miles West of Susanville in Lassen County and burned over 9500 acres.




Incredibly proud of the work of all our people do every day, but going out on strike teams for days on end is always impressive to me. I appreciate all the members of our team so much.
